Your roof schedule shouldn't wait on someone else's solar.
When a reroof or roof repair runs into an existing array, the solar scope can hold up your crew. We coordinate the removal, protected storage, and reinstallation through a licensed solar partner. You keep the roof contract and the homeowner.
- You keep the roofing contract and the customer relationship
- Our partner handles the solar scope; your crew never touches the array
- Sequenced around your roof date, not the other way around
Palm Beach Solar is an independent solar advisor. A licensed solar service partner performs removal and reinstallation under its own license, contract, and warranty.
What this actually looks like
Send the roof date and the address
Tell us the address, the roof date, and what you know about the array. If the original installer is gone, that is not a blocker.
We scope the solar side
A licensed solar partner reviews the array, attachment, disconnect, storage, and reinstallation path, then quotes the homeowner directly.
The two schedules line up
Panels come off before your crew mobilizes, equipment is labeled and stored, and reinstallation is booked for after the roof is ready.
Who owns which scope
| Work | Who does it | Who contracts it |
|---|---|---|
| Roof removal and installation | Your roofing company | Homeowner contracts directly with you |
| Panel removal, storage, reinstallation | Licensed solar service partner | Homeowner contracts the solar scope separately |
| Scheduling between the two crews | Palm Beach Solar | No charge to the roofing company |
| Roof warranty | Your company, per your contract | — |
| Solar equipment and workmanship warranty | The solar partner, per its contract | — |
One project, two scopes, two contracts. Nothing about the solar scope changes your roofing contract or your customer relationship.
Where roofers run into this
- Full reroof with an existing array on the south or west slope
- Storm or hail damage where the array has to come off before the insurance scope is final
- Tile repair or replacement under the array
- Skylight, addition, or structural work that needs the roof plane clear
- Leak diagnosis where the source is under the panels
- A homeowner who wants the array gone before the roof is replaced
- Large commercial and multifamily roofs where the array spans multiple roof sections
What we need to quote the solar scope
- Property address and roof date
- Approximate panel count, or a photo of the array
- Whether the original installer is still reachable
- Any lease, PPA, or loan on the system
- Your company name and the best contact for scheduling
Roofing contractor questions
Does my crew have to take the solar panels off?
No. The array is a separate scope handled by a licensed solar service partner. Your crew works the roof; the solar partner removes, stores, and reinstalls the equipment.
Does the homeowner stay my customer?
Yes. You keep the roofing contract and the relationship. We coordinate the solar scope only, and the homeowner contracts that scope separately.
What does this cost my roofing company?
Nothing. The homeowner pays for the solar scope through the licensed partner. There is no charge to you for the coordination.
Can you work around my roof date?
That is the point of the coordination. Removal is scheduled before your crew mobilizes and reinstallation after the roof is ready; the solar partner confirms each date in writing.
What if the original solar installer is out of business?
It is usually still workable. Removal and reinstallation does not depend on the original installer; the partner inspects the system and confirms the scope.
Who handles the disconnect and the utility?
The licensed solar partner handles the electrical disconnect and any utility or inspection step that applies. Your crew does not touch the electrical side.
Do you work on commercial and multifamily roofs?
Yes. Residential roofs across Palm Beach, Broward, Martin, St. Lucie, and Indian River counties, and large commercial, multifamily, and portfolio projects statewide.
How fast can you get someone out?
Timing depends on the roof date, the partner's schedule, and the scope. Send the address and date and we will confirm what is realistic before you commit a crew.
Set up a partner scope
Send the address and the roof date. We will confirm what the solar side needs and what is realistic before you commit a crew.

Partner coordination is provided at no cost to the roofing company. The homeowner contracts the solar scope directly with a licensed solar service partner, which performs the removal and reinstallation under its own license, contract, and warranty.
